Dear Farm Day Volunteer:

The Farm Day Experience provides an excellent venue for agriculture to spread the message of the importance of our industry. Farm Day is organized for the sole purpose of increasing awareness of the positive contributions that agriculture makes to our local community and economy.

The Farm Day Experience is widely recognized for its excellence and is enthusiastically received in schools. As student population grows and more third grade teachers want to participate, each Farm Day is larger than the last. This is what we want to happen! In order to keep pace with the growth, it is so important that we also grow our pool of volunteers - presenters, guides and supporters. Please recruit a colleague, friend or neighbor so that they , too, may witness the excitement and enthusiasm of the students, teachers and chaperones. Most importantly, they will realize the strong impact that Farm Day makes on our children and community, how the program helps them to better understand the importance of our agricultural industry and that Farm Day benefits our industry.
• Farm Day Monterey - October 2004

• Farm Day Salinas - February 2005

• Farm Day South County - March 2005

Volunteers are needed to do a multitude of tasks -- directing traffic, serving refreshments, setting up the site and taking down everything, coordinating presentations, or just standing by to do anything that is needed.

The Farm Day Experience’s most important task is to create advocates for agriculture.
Together we can accomplish this!
